Construction Equipment Mechanic

Location: Onsite in Laval, Quebec, Canada

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic failures.
• Read technical drawings and repair manuals to resolve equipment faults.
• Identify spare parts through catalogs and prepare orders.
• Perform preventive maintenance on construction and demolition equipment.
• Carry out basic welding and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Complete other maintenance tasks required by operational needs.

Requirements

• Vocational diploma in construction machinery mechanics or equivalent training.
• At least three years of experience as a construction mechanic, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, diesel engines, transmissions, welding, mechanics, and new technologies.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and a complete toolbox with imperial and metric tools.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and manage tasks with initiative and attention to detail.
• Availability to work alternating day and evening shifts.
