Maintenance Millwright - Continental Night Shift (18:30-6:30)

Location: Alliston, Ontario, Canada. Onsite continental night shift from 18:30 to 6:30, with overtime coverage required on Saturdays and during winter and summer plant shutdowns.

Salary: CAD 44.00 per hour, plus a potential shift premium for eligible hours.

What you will do

• Respond to equipment breakdown calls as the primary or backup millwright.
• Complete planned work orders, provide equipment-condition feedback, and support maintenance improvements.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery involving mechanical, minor electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and servo systems.
• Fabricate, install, service, and modify specialized equipment and machine components using drawings, blueprints, or sketches.
• Operate lathes, milling machines, drills, saws, surface grinders, and welding equipment, including passivation when required.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and building systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Valid provincial Industrial Millwright Mechanic Licence 433A and proof of apprenticeship.
• PLC knowledge and advanced troubleshooting skills for identifying root causes of complex machine failures.
• Experience reading drawings, blueprints, and technical system documents.
• Competence in lathe operation, milling, surface grinding, machining layout and design, fabrication, and stainless steel/TIG welding.
• Forklift and Skyjack certification, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to coordinate and schedule maintenance work in support of production priorities.
