Principal Application Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Support memory interface product development from conception through production release.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality Assurance, and other engineering teams.
• Analyze application requirements and challenges and develop solutions that maximize product performance.
• Work with customers to solve technical problems and support their application goals.
• Write application notes and technical documentation for customers, partners, and internal users.
• Design and debug hardware and software for laboratory validation and qualification.

Requirements

• 10+ years of direct experience in post-silicon applications, debugging, and validation.
• Strong knowledge of DDR3, DDR4, DDR5 and/or SERDES protocols, testing, and applications.
• Familiarity with computer system architecture, especially Intel x86 server systems.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, pattern generators, ATE, and logic analyzers.
• Experience developing test automation with Python.
• Experience designing, analyzing, and debugging high-speed test boards; a relevant master's degree with 10+ years or bachelor's degree with 15+ years of experience is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with DIMM RCD, data buffer, I2C, and I3C devices.
• Strong technical writing skills.
