Location: Predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington, United States, with some remote support subject to Contracting Officer approval. Periodic field verifications and coordinated travel may be required.

What you will do

  • Provide senior radiological control subject-matter expertise and auditing support for DOE Environmental Management and Hanford Field Office activities.
  • Analyze dosimetry data and support ALARA planning.
  • Interpret radiological surveys and help ensure compliance in a regulated nuclear cleanup environment.
  • Prepare reports and maintain ALARA committee data packages.
  • Support Environment, Safety and Health and Quality Assurance program activities.
  • Conduct periodic field verifications and coordinate approved travel as required.

Requirements

  • 5–8 or more years of radiological control experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Physics or a related field.
  • Radiation Worker qualification.
  • Experience in the DOE Environmental Management sector is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dosimetry, ALARA, and survey interpretation.
  • Facility Clearance is required; DOE clearance may be required depending on the assigned work.
