TL;DR

Location: Customer site in Piketon, Ohio; Portsmouth, Ohio

What you will do

  • Perform non-destructive assay tests and inspections, collect measurement data, and evaluate material composition, condition, structure, and conformity.
  • Set up, operate, and calibrate commercial NDA testing equipment for in-situ and containerized measurements, including cascade components and piping.
  • Analyze and document test, inspection, statistical, and QA/QC data; validate or certify testing processes and outcomes.
  • Identify anomalies and adverse trends, communicate findings to management, and produce data for NDA Engineering review.
  • Support data quality objectives for NCS, NMC&A, and waste measurement needs.
  • Act as a technical resource for less experienced team members and assist with procedures, protocols, safety groups, and special projects.

Requirements

  • Associate technical degree or technical certificate plus at least one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of project procedures and requirements, with basic knowledge of EPA, DOE, OEPA, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a DOE “L” clearance.
  • Must be able to work in potentially hazardous environments, including areas with radiation, chemicals, confined spaces, heat, noise, and environmental extremes; radiological training is required.
