Senior Engineering Manager, Systems Engineering

What you will do

• Lead and develop the Systems Engineering department and assign resources across programs.
• Define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and ensure compatibility across physical, functional, and program interfaces.
• Manage requirements definition and decomposition, CONOPS development, verification planning, risk assessment, and requirements traceability.
• Develop systems engineering processes, technical documentation baselines, and new requirements management methodologies.
• Coordinate with business development, conceptual design, engineering teams, customers, vendors, and Program Management.
• Set performance objectives, provide feedback, conduct evaluations, and support mentoring, training, recruitment, and career development.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in an applicable engineering discipline.
• 11+ years of experience in space communications and 6+ years in technical leadership or people management.
• Experience with satellite communications standards including NR NTN, DVB-S2X, and CCSDS.
• Experience working with product and component developers and vendors providing critical system functionality.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills, with the ability to direct work, track milestones, and manage large open-ended projects.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or otherwise eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations; ability to obtain and hold a U.S. government security clearance is required.
