TL;DR
Engineering Manager I (Aerospace): Leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing project execution, budgets, compliance, and technical planning with an accent on aerospace systems integration, quality assurance, and process improvement. Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; office or hybrid work required, with up to 10% travel.

Estimated starting salary: $143,487.14–$197,294.82 annually, plus performance-based annual incentive pay.

What you will do

  • Supervise and provide technical direction and mentorship to a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • Coordinate engineering activities, project schedules, resources, budgets, and timelines.
  • Oversee engineering design, documentation, approvals, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Represent the engineering department in management meetings and present project updates and technical data to stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and coordinate training to strengthen team capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related Engineering field.
  • At least 6 years of engineering experience; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis, and simulation.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary design and development teams and lead engineers collaboratively.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or an MBA.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies.
  • Previous engineering management, recruiting, staff evaluation, and team development experience.
  • Experience preparing project schedules, budgets, bids, and estimates.
  • Background in aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
