Engineering Manager II - Engineering Applications (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team to achieve project milestones.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor costs, and manage engineering delivery within budget.
• Drive technical solutions to complex engineering challenges and improve engineering processes.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable standards, regulations, and aerospace and defense requirements.
• Coordinate collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Mentor engineering staff and present project updates and technical data to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related discipline.
• Typically 8+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 4+ years of management experience.
• Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with computer-aided engineering tools, analysis, and simulation.
• Ability to work with and collaboratively lead multidisciplinary design and development teams.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in the aerospace and defense industry, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
• Experience recruiting, assigning, directing, and evaluating engineering staff.
• Experience coordinating resources, tools, processes, training, and staffing for program delivery.
• Experience preparing project schedules, budgets, bids, and estimates.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and experience in rapid prototyping or fast-paced collaborative environments.
