TL;DR
Radiation RN (Radiation Oncology): Providing professional nursing care for radiation oncology patients in a South Austin clinic with an accent on assessment, education, triage, and continuity of care. Focus on coordinating interdisciplinary services, supporting patients and families, and guiding LPN/LVNs and medical assistants while maintaining oncology care standards.

Location: South Austin, Austin, Texas, United States; full-time onsite schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

What you will do

  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of patient care.
  • Assess patients’ health status, current condition, and medical history.
  • Assess patient and family needs and provide education and instructional materials.
  • Provide psychosocial support and help patients access community resources.
  • Triage patient phone calls, document relevant information, and coordinate interdisciplinary services.
  • Act as a clinical resource for LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Current RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Level 1: 0–3 years of nursing experience, preferably with at least one year in oncology.
  • Level 2: 3–5 years of nursing experience; oncology certification preferred.
  • Senior level: at least five years of nursing experience.
