Full-Stack Engineer (TypeScript/React)

Location: On-site in Cambridge, United Kingdom, five days per week; remote work for this role is not available

hirify.global, through Altium, develops a cloud-based software platform for electronics design and collaboration.

What you will do

• Design and maintain user-facing features and interfaces for Octopart.com, including part searching and exploration.
• Build web services and server-side logic that power product features.
• Develop web user interfaces with TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React and Next.
• Design web service APIs using top-down and schema-first approaches in collaboration with backend engineers.
• Collaborate with frontend, data platform, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams.
• Participate in code reviews and improve coding standards and best practices.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in full-stack web application development.
• Advanced frontend development skills with TypeScript and React.
• Experience developing backend services with Node or other programming languages.
• Understanding of software design principles, design patterns, relational databases such as MySQL, and complex system workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work on-site five days a week from the Cambridge office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Next, Go, Python, GraphQL, containerized development, CI/CD, Kubernetes, or Elasticsearch.
