Full Stack Engineer (Python/React)

Location: Fully remote within the United States, operating on Eastern Time with expected hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern. Occasional travel for training and project meetings is expected at less than 5% per year.

Salary: $102,300–$114,300 per year

What you will do

• Architect, design, build, and maintain web application features and external-facing data portals.
• Develop user-facing features with JavaScript, React, and related frontend technologies.
• Build, test, and scale backend APIs, data models, and integrations with other platforms.
• Handle large datasets and optimize data storage, access, application performance, and capacity.
• Collaborate with product managers, product owners, business analysts, designers, engineers, and QA to implement requirements.
• Support Agile delivery through development, testing, documentation, maintenance, demos, retrospectives, and sprint planning.

Requirements

• U.S. Federal Government public trust clearance is required. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or qualify through the Foreign National Government System, including having lived in the United States for at least 3 of the previous 5 years and holding valid passport and visa/work permit documentation.
• At least 4 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical, scientific, business, or engineering discipline.
• Strong Python and Django skills, with extensive experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Expertise with React or Angular, Node, APIs, REST, GraphQL, JSON, JSON-RPC, XML-RPC, and related web practices.
• Experience with AWS or another major cloud provider, Docker, AWS DevSecOps, Git, relational and non-relational databases, and performance monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of automated testing, test-driven development, Agile methodology, Jira, Confluence, technical documentation, and communicating with non-technical audiences. Excellent written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of authentication and authorization systems, including Active Directory, Okta, AWS IAM policies and roles, and attribute-based access controls.
• Experience with Medicaid or healthcare data, including data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
