What you will do

• Build shared backend services, APIs, contracts, and abstractions used by product engineering teams.
• Translate product and business needs into platform improvements with measurable user impact.
• Design, operate, and continuously improve reliable systems with a strong focus on correctness.
• Write maintainable fullstack code, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering quality.
• Shape system architecture, technology decisions, platform boundaries, scalability, and performance.
• Lead major initiatives such as migrations and platform capabilities while mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a clear backend focus.
• Fullstack capability with experience working in React and TypeScript codebases.
• Strong understanding of type systems, composition, testing, Clean Code, and Clean Architecture.
• Experience with functional programming concepts or languages.
• Ability to translate business problems into precise requirements, specifications, and production code.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed systems, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of ERP, finance, procurement, or supply chain processes.
• Background in platform, infrastructure, or developer experience teams.
• Experience with large-scale migrations or incremental modernization.
• German language skills.
