Fullstack Engineer (Golang)

Location: UK and Spain; on-site in Zurich, London, or Barcelona, or remote within Europe.

What you will do

• Design and develop shared backend services and APIs used by product teams.
• Improve platform capabilities, workflows, dashboards, permissions, and internal tooling based on user and stakeholder needs.
• Build and operate robust, reliable systems with a strong focus on correctness and continuous improvement.
• Write maintainable fullstack code, conduct code reviews, and contribute to engineering quality.
• Shape system architecture, technology decisions, platform boundaries, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Guide major migrations and platform initiatives while mentoring team members and improving collaboration practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a clear backend focus.
• Fullstack capability with experience working in modern React and TypeScript codebases.
• Strong understanding of type systems, composition, testing, Clean Code, and Clean Architecture.
• Experience with functional programming concepts or languages.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to translate business problems into precise requirements, specifications, and production code.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with distributed systems, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with ERP systems or finance, procurement, and supply chain processes.
• Background in platform, infrastructure, or developer experience teams.
• Experience with large-scale migrations or incremental modernization.
• German language skills.
