Collator Operator (Print Manufacturing)

Location: Osage, Iowa, United States. Full-time, onsite position on the first shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; occasional weekend overtime may be required.

Salary: $22.44–$31.61 per hour.

What you will do

• Set up and operate collating, labeling, and patching machines for printed and in-process materials.
• Review work specifications and configure equipment for web-roll collation, label application, and window patching.
• Assemble and finish printed materials through folding, stapling, gluing, perforating, cutting, and sequencing.
• Adjust machines for different paper weights, colors, machinability, and quality requirements.
• Perform safety inspections, document equipment problems, and track production during operation.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret work orders and collating specifications.
• Knowledge of coated and uncoated paper stocks and their machining requirements.
• Ability to calculate distances, clearances, and fits when combining machines.
• Skill in using standard and specialized tools to adjust and maintain collating machines.
• Knowledge of machine setup, operating procedures, capabilities, limitations, folding, collating, and cutting processes.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
