Press Operator (Printing)

Location: Townsend, Massachusetts, United States; onsite, 3rd shift Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

What you will do

• Operate and manually set up or change over multi-color sheet-fed and high-speed continuous/web presses.
• Identify and load stock, configure paper paths, bend and mount plates, mix PMS ink, and complete die registration.
• Adjust ink and water balance, color matching, multi-color register, ink density, size, construction, and press attributes such as perforations, numbering, and file holes.
• Interpret order instructions and run presses to meet customer quality and job requirements.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and adjust equipment, including blanket changes, wash-up units, water systems, and roller settings.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• At least two years of manufacturing or printing experience, including two years of printing press experience.
• Familiarity with printing processes and ink usage.
• Basic computer skills, math, reading, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-resolution skills.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED.
• Familiarity with Lean principles.
