Finance Senior Project Manager

Salary: $102,800–$176,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead complex Finance and Accounting projects from design and development through implementation and operational transition.
• Develop project plans, define scope and objectives, manage milestones, dependencies, resources, budgets, and RAID logs.
• Coordinate digital and non-digital workstreams with Finance leadership, IT teams, business units, and third-party vendors.
• Oversee vendor statements of work, system integrations, implementations, rollouts, change requests, and delivery risks.
• Provide project status reporting, governance, documentation, and decision support to sponsors and Finance leadership.
• Coach project managers and promote consistent delivery practices, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; a Finance or business-related background is preferred.
• 8–10 years of project management experience, including 3–5 years working with Agile methods.
• Experience leading multiple large projects with budgets exceeding $750,000 and moderate to high risk.
• Experience delivering digital products and services and managing projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, Disciplined Agile, and SAFe, along with strong communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and OneNote; ability to work autonomously and lead cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• PMI certification such as PMP or PMI-ACP, or Agile certifications such as CSM or CSPO.
• Experience with Finance transformation, Finance operations, or Finance and Accounting projects.
• Experience with Workday Financials implementations, integrations, enhancements, or support projects.
• Experience in mid- to large-sized professional services firms and highly matrixed organizations.
