Mental Health Part-Time Clinical Nursing Faculty

Location: Charleston, South Carolina, USA; in-person clinical instruction at an inpatient healthcare setting

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment

What you will do

• Mentor BSN nursing students in person during inpatient clinical placements.
• Connect classroom and simulation-based learning with real-world patient care.
• Teach and supervise nursing skills and procedures in a clinical setting.
• Guide students through mental health and psychiatric nursing topics, including anxiety, mood alterations, thought disorders, addictive behaviors, abuse, and violence.
• Work approximately 3–4 consecutive 12-hour shifts over 1–2 weeks during each 8-week session, subject to course and specialty needs.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in South Carolina.
• Illinois RN license required to teach all courses.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
• At least two years of recent professional registered nursing experience in the area of instruction within the last five years.
• Strong subject-matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
