Operations Manager (Distribution Center)

Location: Forney, Texas, USA; fully onsite with no hybrid or remote option. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, and peak operational periods.

What you will do

• Lead daily distribution center operations, including receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, shipping, and inventory execution.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity performance through daily management and KPI reviews.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline leaders while building accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor throughput, labor productivity, inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock performance, order accuracy, and on-time shipment.
• Partner with Customer Service, Inventory, Transportation, and Materials teams to resolve constraints and improve customer service.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, SOP development, peak planning, workforce planning, and operational improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience leading supervisors and frontline teams in a high-volume, metrics-driven environment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping and receiving processes.
• Experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Manhattan.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to drive improvements through data and standard work.

Nice to have

• Experience leading multi-shift distribution center operations.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience with Daily Management Systems, warehouse automation, material handling systems, change management, or operational transformation.
• OSHA knowledge and forklift safety certification.
