Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

  • Teach Fundamentals of Microbiology with Lab to undergraduate BSN nursing students.
  • Deliver a three-hour lecture and three-hour laboratory session two days per week.
  • Develop and maintain an approved syllabus aligned with course objectives.
  • Prepare, organize, and update course materials using appropriate educational technology.
  • Conduct examinations, grade fairly and consistently, and provide timely feedback.
  • Set clear course expectations and support student learning through effective communication.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in microbiology or the subject being taught for undergraduate instruction.
  • Relevant subject-matter expertise and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong motivational and instructional skills in a diverse, non-traditional learning environment.
  • Ability to collaborate collegially and facilitate the efforts of diverse groups.
  • Ability to teach face-to-face on campus in Jacksonville, Florida.
  • Additional requirements may apply based on state licensing or accreditation considerations.
