What you will do

• Prepare and analyze complex financial schedules, reconciliations, and regulatory reports.
• Perform variance analysis, data interpretation, and data integrity testing to support accurate reporting.
• Support bank regulatory, SEC, shareholder, Board, tax, and internal management reporting.
• Design, implement, maintain, and enhance internal controls while escalating risk-related issues.
• Assist with problem resolution and moderate-scope projects, including project design and presentations.
• Provide cross-training and support to new team members and may train junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience, or an associate's degree and at least 4 years of experience in accounting, auditing, operations, or financial institutions.
• Good knowledge of finance and accounting concepts, business operations, or bank products.
• Basic knowledge of the banking industry and financial statements, including key balance sheet and income statement drivers.
• Strong PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
• Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Full-time work in Buffalo, New York, United States of America.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience preparing and analyzing FR 2052a, FDIC 370, FR Y-15, Call Reports, and FR Y-9C.
• Experience with data visualization or data querying applications.
