Civil Engineering Project Manager (Land Development)

Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in Rochester, Syracuse, or Buffalo, New York, USA.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000

What you will do

• Independently manage land development projects from inception to completion.
• Oversee the preparation of site plans, grading, utility plans, and construction documents.
• Prepare Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and secure agency approvals.
• Mentor junior staff and manage project budgets and workloads.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Attend public presentations and manage project invoicing.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in a professional consulting environment.
• Strong expertise in land development design and stormwater management.
• Proven experience in project management, budget oversight, and team delegation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and agency interaction.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is encouraged.

Nice to have

• AutoCAD and HydroCAD proficiency.
• Construction administration experience.
