Fundamentals Visiting Professor (Nursing Education)

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States; Wednesday and/or Thursday, 12-hour clinical shifts at clinical partner sites.

Salary: $65–$97.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Teach nursing students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program through clinical instruction.
• Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision while students deliver nursing care.
• Evaluate student performance against course objectives and provide documented feedback.
• Develop clinical assignments aligned with student knowledge, competencies, and learning needs.
• Grade academic and clinical coursework, including quizzes, tests, lab assignments, and clinical paperwork.
• Coordinate with clinical agencies and academic leadership on policies, student progress, and concerns.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license.
• At least two years of recent professional registered nursing experience in the area of instruction within the last five years.
• Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required at certain clinical partner sites.
