Vocational Nursing Instructor - Per Diem (Healthcare Education)

Location: San Jose, CA, USA; campus-based position

Compensation: USD 46–50 per hour

What you will do

• Teach vocational nursing lecture content, laboratory instruction, and clinical rotations.
• Use innovative teaching methodologies and online activities to enhance course content.
• Review and revise course syllabi and instructional guidelines.
• Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-off forms, student files, and program data.
• Submit program reports and forms on time and participate in assigned committees and professional development.
• Keep nursing knowledge, technology skills, safety practices, licensure, and continuing education current.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse license in the state where teaching takes place.
• Meet faculty requirements established by the Board of Vocational Nursing.
• Current knowledge and experience in clinical nursing practice, with the ability to mentor students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, independent working ability, and knowledge of nursing sciences and nursing laboratory operations.
• Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification.
