VN Instructor (Nursing)

Location: Sacramento, California, USA; campus-based position

Compensation: USD 48–60 per hour

What you will do

• Teach lecture content and clinical rotations in the licensed vocational nursing program.
• Deliver courses at different times and locations, including Saturday clinicals and possible weekday, evening, or weekend sessions.
• Improve instructional quality through innovative teaching methods and online learning activities.
• Review and revise course syllabi and instructional guidelines.
• Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-off forms, clinical requirement files, and student records.
• Submit program reports, participate in committees, and maintain continuing education and licensure requirements.

Requirements

• Current RN or LVN licensure in the state where teaching takes place.
• RN/BSN candidates need at least 3 years of bedside experience.
• LVN/Associate degree candidates need at least 6 years of bedside experience.
• Ability to teach both classroom and clinical content and maintain required student and program documentation.
• Prior teaching experience is not required.

Nice to have

• Current immunizations.
• Basic Life Support certification or ACLS.
