Principal, CFO Advisory (Finance)

What you will do

• Lead and oversee Office of the CFO advisory engagements across a range of industries and business environments.
• Advise CFOs, finance leaders, private equity firms, and portfolio company executives.
• Lead projects covering finance transformation, process improvement, financial reporting modernization, technical accounting, and systems enablement.
• Support acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, integrations, financial due diligence readiness, and post-close execution.
• Develop business opportunities, expand client relationships, and grow the advisory practice.
• Lead engagement teams while mentoring, coaching, and developing professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in audit, accounting advisory, consulting, transaction advisory, and/or Office of the CFO services.
• Deep knowledge of finance organizations, controllership, financial reporting, finance transformation, and accounting operations.
• Demonstrated success developing executive relationships and originating advisory opportunities with private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, business owners, CFOs, and finance leaders.
• Strong leadership, relationship management, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to operate strategically and tactically.
• Full-time role based in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, United States.

Nice to have

• CPA, CFA, MBA, or another relevant credential.
• Experience with SEC reporting, IPO readiness, or public company environments.
