Senior Managing Consultant - Corporate Finance - Turnaround & Restructuring

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Willingness to travel up to 80% as needed. Must provide verification of legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Salary: $125,000–$215,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support day-to-day activities for turnaround and restructuring client engagements.
• Manage junior team members across modeling, analysis, and client presentation tasks.
• Build and oversee 13-week cash flow, three-statement, and pro forma scenario models.
• Analyze financial and operational data to develop findings, recommendations, and value-driver assessments.
• Prepare reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables.
• Collaborate with BRG experts, external professionals, and client stakeholders while contributing to business development and practice growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, accounting or finance, management, engineering, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of work experience, ideally in consulting or professional services.
• Expertise in financial modeling and analysis, including three-statement models, cash flows, and scenario analysis.
• Ability to manage large volumes of financial and operational data and turn analysis into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and oral communication, problem-solving, project management, prioritization, and stakeholder-interaction skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills; familiarity with Capital IQ, Bloomberg, or similar financial research tools.

Nice to have

• CFA, CPA, equivalent certification, or technical/GAAP accounting expertise.
• Experience with Chapter 11 processes and transactions such as asset or business sales.
