Senior Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer (Water)

Location: Dallas, Texas; preference for candidates living in Texas and working from one of hirify.global's Texas locations

Salary: $116,930.89–$133,635.31 per year

What you will do

• Produce contract documents, plans, specifications, scopes of work, and construction cost estimates.
• Design control systems, instrumentation, PLC systems, control panels, and overall SCADA architectures for water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Develop network architecture drawings, communications specifications, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, loop diagrams, I/O lists, and installation details.
• Collaborate on P&IDs, process equipment controls, vendor packages, and construction submittal reviews.
• Visit sites during design and construction, support commissioning, and respond to construction RFIs.
• Manage projects, interface with clients, support business development, and mentor EITs, interns, and draftsmen.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience designing control systems for water and wastewater treatment, distribution, or industrial facilities.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain a Texas license.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ISA, NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 820.
• Experience with AutoCAD and the ability to work independently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
