Laboratory Technician (Refrigeration)

Location: Belluno, Italy; full-time onsite

What you will do

• Analyze technical documentation and define resources, procedures, and plans for functional and performance testing.
• Prepare laboratory test benches, including wiring modifications, equipment setup, and measurement instrumentation.
• Execute and validate tests on electronic controllers installed in commercial refrigeration systems, prototypes, and market-ready products.
• Monitor, collect, interpret, and analyze test data, then prepare detailed technical reports.
• Support product development, prototyping, and system tuning activities.
• Maintain, calibrate, and document laboratory equipment while collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and international teams.

Requirements

• Technical diploma in electronics or electrical engineering, or an equivalent qualification with relevant practical experience.
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, valves, and refrigerants.
• Understanding of commercial refrigeration applications and basic electronics.
• Experience with measurement instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and electrical signal and I/O verification.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics for controllers and refrigeration applications.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Previous laboratory testing or engineering experience.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards.
• Experience with advanced data acquisition tools, analysis software, automation systems, or programmable controllers.
• Background or experience in thermodynamics or refrigeration.
• Basic technical English proficiency.
