Field Service Engineer - Waste Recycling - Italy

Location: Italy, covering the Rome–Naples region; candidates must be based within this territory. The role involves at least 80% travel, mainly across Italy, with occasional international trips.

What you will do

• Install, commission, maintain, optimize, and repair sensor-based sorting systems.
• Ensure high performance and reliable operation of TOMRA sorting equipment in the field.
• Sample and test sorting processes to improve system performance.
• Provide effective technical support and communication to customers.
• Identify opportunities to introduce complementary products, solutions, and services.
• Share customer and market feedback with headquarters to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Secondary technical education or higher in electrical engineering, electronics, automation, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel 80% or more and be based in the Rome–Naples territory.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with computer programs, PC configuration, and network structures.
• Native Italian and proficient English.
• Full clean driving license.

Nice to have

• Experience in industrial environments, especially on-site preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Knowledge of the metal scrap business and recycling processes.
