What you will do

• Assess patients’ health status, medical history, laboratory and diagnostic data, and psychosocial needs.
• Plan, coordinate, evaluate, and document continuity of oncology and hematology patient care.
• Prepare and administer medications, blood products, and other therapies under physician supervision.
• Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, maintain central lines, and support dose modifications and symptom management.
• Manage triage calls, medication refill requests, consultations, diagnostic testing, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, clinical research staff, LPN/LVNs, and medical assistants.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support certification and commitment to continuing education.
• Three to five years of nursing experience; at least one year of oncology experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in an oncology and hematology clinic environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, radiation, and cytotoxic agents.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.

• Oncology certification.
