Finishing Operator - 2nd Shift

Location: 250 Chester St, Painesville, OH 44077, USA. Onsite, full-time, 2nd shift Monday–Friday, 3:20 PM–11:30 PM.

What you will do

• Sort, label, inspect, and package finished goods according to customer specifications, quality requirements, and standard practices.
• Operate manual packaging processes, prepare cores, cut cores, band rolls, and track multiple orders.
• Keep packaging materials supplied and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform 5S duties and audits and participate in quality, productivity, and continuous improvement activities.
• Communicate operational information across shifts and departments and contribute to group problem-solving teams.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or at least 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong focus on safety, service, quality, root-cause problem solving, flexibility, and dependability.
• Proficiency with computer applications, especially MFG Pro transactional functions.
• Willingness to work overtime, including short-notice requests, and obtain a Lift Truck Operator’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• 3–5 or more years of previous manufacturing experience.
• Mathematical, mechanical, and technical aptitude with logical problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading continuous improvement efforts and knowledge of ELS Operating Principles.
• Experience working independently and in a team environment.
