Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Location: Thousand Oaks, California, United States; onsite

Base salary: $108,000–$148,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing engineers, process engineers, and technicians supporting new product line development.
• Develop manufacturing equipment and processes, labor and capital cost estimates, and capacity expansion projects.
• Coordinate with design, process, program management, marketing, quality, supply chain, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
• Converge processes, equipment, and product roadmaps across global business centers and operations groups.
• Drive improvements that reduce cycle time, defects, and manufacturing costs while supporting production and financial metrics.
• Manage personnel evaluations, technical training, equipment selection, production ramp-ups, and capital budgets.

Requirements

• University degree, such as a bachelor's degree, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing team members while maintaining accountability for goals and standards.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods including welding, brazing, soldering, adhesive bonding, machining, stamping, molding, and forming.
• Deep knowledge of Lean, waste elimination, and 5S; expertise in tooling, robotic integration, assembly line balancing, and factory layout optimization.
• Proficiency in APQP and problem-solving frameworks such as Six Sigma, with familiarity with MES and ERP software.
• Must be eligible to obtain authorization under ITAR and/or EAR; non-US persons may not be eligible.
