What you will do

• Define technical requirements and design solution and application architectures aligned with enterprise standards, platform patterns, and security requirements.
• Create technical design documents, architecture decision records, API specifications, integration designs, and database or data model specifications.
• Prepare technical artifacts for Technology Review Board and Initial Design Review gates and present designs to review boards.
• Oversee application development, coding standards, testing strategy, performance requirements, code reviews, regression testing, defect triage, and quality reporting.
• Coordinate with Platform and SRE teams on Kubernetes, service mesh, API gateway, shared services, onboarding, and Definition of Done criteria.
• Manage technology risks and technical debt, support incident root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and evaluate vendor solutions.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or technical leadership, including hands-on enterprise application design and delivery.
• Experience with solution architecture, API design, microservices, modern application development patterns, and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to lead technical teams, establish development standards, and deliver complex initiatives in Agile environments.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful services, event-driven architectures, integration patterns, relational and NoSQL databases, DevOps, and CI/CD concepts.
• Experience defining test strategies, performance testing, code review processes, secure development practices, technical debt remediation, and incident management.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders and collaborate with Business Architecture, Product Security, Platform, SRE, and risk teams.

Nice to have

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent education.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, service mesh, API gateways, and shared platform services.
• AWS, Azure, or GCP certification.
• Banking or financial services experience, including regulatory requirements, secure development, and Technology Review Board governance.
