Sr. Consultant, Systems Engineer

Location: Burlington, Canada; hybrid work with in-person attendance at an assigned office for a minimum of two days per week

Salary: $98,000–$135,000 annually

What you will do

• Translate business problems and architectural visions into detailed, actionable technical designs.
• Create and coordinate system context diagrams, logical data models, API specifications, and non-functional requirements.
• Define interactions between global, regional, and third-party systems to support data consistency, performance, and security.
• Guide teams through the development lifecycle, UAT, defect resolution, and solution implementation.
• Lead team members, coordinate internal resources and external consultants, and partner with business stakeholders and global vendors.
• Oversee release management, technical currency planning, system maintenance, operational excellence, and related budget needs.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of progressive experience in systems analysis or systems design, including 5 years of leadership experience.
• Experience designing end-to-end system flows, including user interfaces and user experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, release management, change management, QA/testing, and application and systems security for critical production systems.
• Experience with requirements gathering, business analysis, solution design, DevOps, and agile environments.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and business leaders.
• University degree in computer science or a related field, plus experience working with global remote teams and external IT vendors.
