AI Implementation & Solutions Associate Director

Location: Chicago, IL, or Houston, TX, United States. Hybrid work combines in-person collaboration in local offices and on client sites with remote work; travel may include local or out-of-state client engagements. hirify.global is not registered to hire or employ personnel in West Virginia or Alaska.

Salary: $162,000–$276,000 annually, plus a 16% bonus target. Estimated total cash compensation is $187,920–$320,160.

What you will do

• Lead AI Factory opportunities from initial qualification and solution shaping through contracting, delivery, and follow-on planning.
• Conduct discovery sessions, define focused use cases, and prepare proposals, estimates, statements of work, and presentations.
• Manage client engagements, including scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, governance, financials, and stakeholder expectations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of AI engineers, architects, designers, data specialists, industry experts, risk professionals, and change specialists.
• Guide prototypes and pilots using generative AI, machine learning, agentic systems, retrieval-augmented generation, APIs, and modern application architectures.
• Review architectures and technical deliverables and contribute hands-on to programming, troubleshooting, prototyping, and solution refinement when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 9+ years of experience designing, delivering, or managing technology, data, automation, software, or AI solutions.
• Experience managing client engagements, multidisciplinary delivery teams, project scope, budgets, risks, resources, and engagement financials.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI experimentation, prototyping, or AI-enabled application development.
• Working proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript or TypeScript, with the ability to understand, review, and contribute to application code.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, plus strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Consulting or other client-service experience.
• Experience managing rapid prototypes, proofs of concept, pilots, or agile software delivery.
• Relevant cloud, AI, agile, or project management certifications.
