AI Solution Architect (Manager)

Location: Remote with flexible living locations across the United States; Chicago office location listed at 550 Van Buren. Travel as needed.

Salary: $155,000–$175,000 USD base annually; total estimated compensation including annual incentive compensation is $178,250–$218,750 USD.

What you will do

• Design and support AI solutions across multiple client projects, aligning architecture with technical feasibility and business goals.
• Develop reusable architectural patterns, components, and design practices for experimental and production-ready AI initiatives.
• Evaluate system constraints and platform environments to recommend scalable and secure cloud, on-premises, or hybrid architectures.
• Drive architecture for data pipelines, model orchestration, API development, observability, and enterprise integrations.
• Apply machine learning, generative AI, LLMs, embeddings, RAG, AI agents, tool use, function calling, and MCP-related orchestration patterns.
• Review technical designs, contribute to code and system architecture, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with delivery leads and client stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering or AI/ML development experience, including 2+ years in solution design or architecture.
• Experience designing AI-powered solutions using machine learning, data pipelines, or generative AI APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Python, AI/ML frameworks, and API development.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture, production environments, cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, and containerized environments.
• Ability to work in agile, project-based environments and translate technical requirements into business goals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with GenAI frameworks and agent orchestration tools.
• Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services certifications.
• Advanced degree or additional certifications.
