Machine Shop Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Columbia, Pennsylvania, United States — onsite at the plant

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year

What you will do

• Supervise union production personnel in the foundry finishing area and maintain safety, production, quality, and schedule performance.
• Prepare and monitor daily and weekly shift plans, including staffing and production targets.
• Identify significant quality and productivity issues and coordinate timely corrective action.
• Establish staffing and training plans for key operational areas.
• Participate in quality and safety reviews and audits supporting ISO-9001:2015 procedures.
• Work with Human Resources and management to apply the union contract fairly while minimizing production disruption.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a BS in a technical discipline is preferred.
• At least 2 years of heavy industrial production experience in a high-volume environment.
• Strong work ethic and excellent team-building skills with subordinates and peers.
• Professional PC literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
