Maintenance Associate - Electrician

Location: Cornwall, Ontario, Canada — onsite, Sunday to Thursday, 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Salary: Starting at $48.66 CAD per hour

Walmart operates retail and automated warehouse facilities requiring industrial maintenance support.

What you will do

• Repair and perform preventive maintenance on automated conveyor systems and warehouse support operations.
• Maintain building equipment, including hydrogen systems, HVAC units, garbage compactors, fire doors, emergency generators, and fire pumps.
• Repair material-handling equipment such as overhead doors, dock plates, trailer restraints, battery chargers, and battery-change equipment.
• Interpret electrical, mechanical, and structural blueprints.
• Follow equipment manufacturer procedures, company policies, training requirements, and applicable provincial laws.
• Promote health and safety while maintaining productivity and hygiene standards.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Industrial Electrician Trade Certification or Certified Construction/Maintenance Electrician certification is required for mechanics who are electricians.
• Strong knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, building automation, HVAC, fire alarm, and UPS systems.
• Ability to work the specified overnight schedule onsite in Cornwall.
