Director of Financial Systems

Location: Any hirify.global U.S. office, with a preference for Bay Area, California locations; minimum one day per week in the office. Additional onsite presence and several annual trips to Bay Area offices may be required.

Salary: $186,000–$279,000 base salary annually, with a discretionary performance bonus potentially available.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and manage Financial Systems staff, including contract and temporary personnel.
• Own the financial systems strategy, roadmap, budget, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.
• Oversee Aderant Expert and related financial applications, integrations, reporting tools, dashboards, and self-service data solutions.
• Manage system security, access controls, data integrity, governance, uptime, reliability, and issue resolution.
• Lead implementations, upgrades, migrations, testing, documentation, change management, and cross-functional project delivery.
• Support the integration of new offices, practice groups, and acquired client bases into financial systems and reporting processes.

Requirements

• 15+ years of financial systems experience in a law firm environment.
• 10+ years of experience managing and developing technical teams.
• Strong experience with Aderant or a comparable legal financial ERP, including architecture, configuration, and reporting.
• Hands-on proficiency in SQL and at least one programming or scripting language, such as PowerShell, .NET/C#, or Python.
• Deep familiarity with the Microsoft technology stack, including Windows Server, SQL Server, Azure, Fabric, SSRS, SharePoint, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; experience leading implementations and cross-functional technology initiatives is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Emburse, BillBlast, BigHand, ARCS, Laurel, or other legal-industry financial applications.
• PMP or similar project management certification.
• Advanced degree.
