Head of Personal Insurance Claims, LAC (Insurance)

Location: Mexico City; primarily office-based with in-person collaboration expected

What you will do

• Lead personal insurance claims operations across the LAC region, overseeing more than 40 adjusters and analysts.
• Provide technical claims leadership, coordinate large claims, authorize reserves and payments, and escalate decisions beyond delegated authority.
• Manage resources, skills, reporting, major claim exposures, catastrophe losses, and total cost of claim initiatives.
• Drive continuous operational improvement through claims metrics, best-practice procedures, corrective actions, and process efficiency initiatives.
• Partner with underwriting, actuarial, finance, risk management, brokers, customers, and global claims leaders on business growth, tenders, and stakeholder needs.
• Advance digital claims channels, technical training, talent development, customer experience, and compliance with regulatory and hirify.global governance requirements.

Requirements

• Proven leadership and personnel management experience, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a global matrix structure.
• Deep knowledge of the LAC personal insurance products and claims lifecycle.
• Established reputation and strong technical capability in personal insurance claims management.
• Experience managing claims budgets, controlling indemnity and expense costs, and implementing process improvements.
• Strong stakeholder, customer, broker, and producer relationships across personal insurance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and geographically distributed matrix environment.

• Experience with digital transformation, automation solutions, and change management.
• Experience with Agile, Lean, or similar project management frameworks.
