Location: Brenham, Texas, United States; onsite, full-time

Salary: USD 38,480–54,080 per year; the noted location rate is USD 18.50 per hour, with potential overtime, shift differential, call-in, and standby pay.

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, and operate bindery and finishing equipment, including folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, binding and gluing machines, and mailing devices.
• Operate automatic bindery systems that process printed sheets into finished books, catalogs, manuals, directories, and magazines.
• Coordinate multiple machine stations and make adjustments for paper conditions, dimensional accuracy, and production requirements.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and monitor quality, output, and productivity.
• Direct the production crew and support the training of new and existing team members.

Requirements

• Knowledge of bindery equipment operating procedures, capabilities, limitations, setup, and adjustment.
• Familiarity with paper weights, sizes, types, colors, and conditions such as moisture or curling.
• Basic mathematics skills, including decimals and metric units, for dimensional requirements and machine adjustments.
• Ability to read work instructions describing machine operation sequences and dimensional specifications.
• Ability to use hand tools and specialized manufacturer tools to adjust and maintain powered machines.
• Ability to exert up to 20–50 pounds of force occasionally and 10–25 pounds frequently.
