Senior Legal Counsel—Litigation, Investigations & Regulatory Enforcement

Location: Hybrid in Chicago, Illinois; work from the downtown Chicago office at least three days per week. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $160,100–$272,300 USD base pay, with eligibility for benefits and a discretionary bonus program.

What you will do

• Manage and support pending and threatened litigation, internal investigations, and regulatory enforcement matters.
• Develop litigation strategies with senior internal counsel and coordinate deliverables with internal and external partners.
• Review memoranda, motions, draft agreements, and other work prepared by outside counsel.
• Oversee discovery, including document identification, searching, collection, production, and legal hold notices.
• Lead factual investigations, conduct complex legal research, and prepare summaries of findings.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions, trials, and hearings; advise partners on litigation strategy and risk.

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and compliance with attorney licensing requirements in the work jurisdiction.
• Valid license to practice law in Illinois.
• At least five years of full-time business litigation experience advising clients in highly regulated industries.
• Experience leading witness preparation and supervising complex discovery in business litigation.
• Experience handling subpoenas and discovery responses, including electronic document identification, collection, and production.
• Familiarity with legal holds, document management applications such as Everlaw, Relativity, Concordance, or Nebula, and secure electronic document sharing.
