Project Controls Specialist

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; full-time onsite at the Client’s project office

Base compensation: $96,000–$129,000 annually

What you will do

• Conduct cost analysis and reporting for efficient contract financial management.
• Develop and manage program metrics and KPIs while supporting data gathering and analysis.
• Maintain accurate cost management systems and interpret cost flows and financial tracking data.
• Support project managers with budget, timeline, scope, change order, and risk monitoring.
• Prepare month-end financial close reports, variance analyses, and forecasts at completion.
• Analyze risks and opportunities and contribute to cost-saving strategies and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of related cost engineering experience, preferably in an engineering project management or construction management environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and business skills.
• Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel and proficiency with P6, Unifier, and other project control software.
• Experience designing and analyzing business intelligence reports and understanding data.
• Experience establishing cost models and updating forecasts at completion throughout the project lifecycle.
