Quality Inspector - Mechanical

What you will do

• Inspect mechanical components and assemblies during production and final inspection.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, configurations, and weld quality using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications for compliance.
• Document inspection findings, deviations, corrective actions, and traceable quality records.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve nonconformances and support timely corrections.
• Assist with root cause analysis and process improvements while enforcing manufacturing safety protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical inspection, quality control, or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with inspection tools, measurement techniques, fabrication, assembly, welding, or machining processes.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally, work at heights and in confined spaces, and stand, bend, crouch, or kneel for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Technical certification in welding or quality control.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management systems.
