Senior Product Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, hybrid — 4 days in-office at Herald Square and 1 day remote; 1 week per quarter may be worked from anywhere. Relocation available.

Salary: $180K–$220K annually, plus 0.7%–1.25% equity.

What you will do

• Ship large product features end to end, from design and database migrations through post-launch support.
• Build agentic systems that automate manual back-office work.
• Make architecture decisions for systems intended to scale over the next several years.
• Work with QA, design, Customer Success, and go-to-market teams to shape the roadmap.
• Engage directly with customers to understand pain points and translate feedback into product solutions.
• Help shape the engineering culture as a founding engineer.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Comfort working across the stack with React, Next, Node, and Postgres.
• Strong product judgment and the ability to explain UI and product decisions.
• Creativity and comfort working with ambiguity and unstructured customer input.
• Interest in helping education businesses thrive.
• Ability to work primarily from the New York City office, with four in-office days per week.
