Fundamentals Visiting Professor (Nursing)

What you will do

• Teach nursing fundamentals through clinical instruction and, when assigned, didactic course content under course-coordinator supervision.
• Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise and evaluate nursing students providing patient care.
• Prepare clinical assignments, assess student performance against course objectives, and provide documented feedback and remediation.
• Maintain current knowledge of clinical-agency policies and coordinate with agency staff regarding student placements and concerns.
• Grade written work and contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, retention efforts, and campus policies.
• Collaborate with administrators, staff, faculty, and clinical partners to improve student outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• At least 2 years of direct patient-care experience in the relevant clinical specialty or content area.
• Professional nurse licensure in the state of practice.
• Excellent communication skills, initiative, and prudent judgment.
• Ability to support safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing instruction.
