Mental Health Nursing Visiting Professor

Location: Atlanta, GA, USA

Clinical schedule: a minimum of one day per week, Monday through Sunday, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, during an 8-week session.

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Teach mental-health nursing through clinical instruction and, when assigned, didactic course content.
• Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise and evaluate students delivering nursing care.
• Provide documented feedback, remediation, and timely review of assignments and clinical paperwork.
• Maintain current knowledge of clinical agency policies, procedures, and expectations.
• Collaborate with course coordinators, faculty, college administration, staff, and clinical agencies.
• Contribute to program development, assessment, student retention, and policy implementation.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• Professional registered nurse licensure in the state of practice required.
• At least two years of nursing practice experience within the last five years required.
• Excellent communication skills, initiative, and prudent judgment.
• Ability to supervise, evaluate, and support nursing students in clinical settings.
