Mechanical Engineering Co-Op (Product Testing)

Location: Morton Grove, Illinois, USA; must reside in or near Morton Grove and attend college. This is a year-round full-time position arranged around the student's school schedule.

Salary: USD 21–27 per hour

What you will do

• Design, develop, configure, and assemble custom product-testing rigs, including sensors, alignment, connectivity, and plumbing.
• Support product validation programs and progressively take ownership of testing activities.
• Create 3D CAD models in Siemens Solid Edge and draft 2D engineering drawings using basic GD&T principles.
• Write, review, and edit technical reports using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Perform basic failure analysis, fluid-control calculations, mechanical calculations, and reporting.
• Coordinate testing activities with colleagues while promoting safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Must be a second- or third-year student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Must reside in or near Morton Grove, Illinois, and attend college.
• Strong interest in hands-on mechanical design, rotating equipment, and technical problem-solving.
• Ability to adjust to varying priorities and projects.
• Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• CAD experience with Siemens Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar tools.
