Mechanical Engineering Intern

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States; onsite

Salary: $18.00–$27.50 per hour

hirify.global’s Mercury Marine manufactures recreational marine propulsion engines, boats, services, and parts for recreational, commercial, and government marine applications.

What you will do

• Support the mechanical design of engine systems and components.
• Assist with validation test plans, testing, and documentation of results.
• Use CAD software, including Creo, for engineering work.
• Manage assigned projects from inception to completion in collaboration with engineering professionals.
• Perform dimensional stack-ups, data reduction and analysis, hardware management for testing, and failure investigations.
• Work with product design, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, customers, and internal departments to solve technical problems.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least second-semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
• Available to work 40 or more hours per week from May through August 2027.
• Eligible to enroll in a formalized university co-op program.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, creative ability, dependability, self-motivation, and willingness to learn.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
