Mechanical Engineering Intern (Year-round) (Mechanical Engineering): Developing design concepts, layouts, and 2-D drawings for high-volume production parts and assemblies with an accent on injection-molded plastic and metal-stamped components. Focus on analyzing form, fit, and function while applying CAD and solid-design skills in collaboration with mechanical engineers.

Location: On-site in Melville, New York, United States

Salary: USD $18.00–$22.00 per hour

What you will do

Work with mechanical engineers to develop design concepts, layouts, and detailed 2-D drawings using the corporate CAD system.
Design injection-molded plastic and metal-stamped parts.
Analyze the form, fit, and function of high-volume production parts and assemblies.

Requirements

Be a current sophomore-level or higher student pursuing a BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Demonstrate creativity and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Have knowledge of CAD; experience with solid design is desired.
