Overhaul Technician (2nd Shift) (Turbomachinery)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Desoto, Texas, United States

Salary: $51,674.00–$77,510.00 per year

What you will do

• Assemble and disassemble Taurus 70, Mars, Titan 130, and Titan 250 gas turbine engines, sub-assemblies, and rotating equipment.
• Follow engineering drawings, work instructions, specifications, oral instructions, and established shop practices.
• Use precision measuring instruments, hand and power tools, shop machinery, test equipment, and inspection equipment.
• Route and move materials using approved handling, movement, and storage procedures.
• Record discrepancies, incidents, assembly, disassembly, and repair information in standard applications and the Quality Management System.
• Collaborate with technicians and Engineering to resolve technical issues, improve safety, support production, and maintain a clean 5S workspace.

Requirements

• High school diploma or trade school certificate.
• At least two years of hands-on mechanical or turbomachinery experience and two years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to operate shop, bench, hand, air, and material-handling equipment, including hydraulic lifts and inspection tools.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and written instructions in English.
• Ability to read micrometers and other precision-measuring instruments.
• Ability to work changing shifts during peak production periods, lift or move parts weighing up to 25 pounds, and maintain excellent attendance.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global large-body models or any Solar engine model.
• A&P license or a technical degree in engineering or manufacturing.
• Associate’s degree.
• Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
